Wedgwood Vintage Trentham Red Square Flower Urn Handled Cake Plate England 9.5"
This was not easy to capture the color correctly. It is creamy white but appears more yellow than it is. It looks a bit washed out but the colors in the center and banding are bright, deep and rich.
Pattern dates to 1922 but there is no indication of actual age of this piece. I suspect it is pretty old based on the stamps, marks and light crazing.
Is called a porcelain cake plate but is actually a very shallow bowl that could be used for serving sides as well as desserts. Fluted rim with rope trim and green leaves on handles. Center medallion and colorful trim.
Condition: There is one very tiny chip on the underside of the rim and as noted light crazing but in otherwise excellent vintage condition.
